Dr. Liz McGowan grew up in Staten Island, NY. She attended the University of Delaware for her Bachelors degree, where she majored in pre-veterinary medicine and animal biosciences with a minor in wildlife conservation. She then attended Ross University for her veterinary degree and finished her clinical year at the University of Florida. Her professional interests include surgery, parasitology, and exotics.

In her free time, Dr. Liz enjoys spending her days with her dog Chimichanga and cat Honeydew. She also enjoys taking care of her endless house plants. She also enjoys hiking and scuba diving; she would love good spot recommendations for both.
